Anna firmly believes that yoga can be adapted to suit all bodies regardless of age, physical ability, intellectual ability or size. She has trained with yoga therapy Ireland, the Special Yoga Centre and Richard Kravetz.
As a qualified yoga teacher and yoga therapist, her passion is sharing the gift of yoga with everyone.
Anna will be teaching Chair Yoga at the Got Your Back Main Event 3.15 - 4.15pm
Chair Yoga:
“We tend to think of yoga for younger people with bendy bodies, but what if I told you that ALL yoga poses can be adapted to suit all bodies. "If you can breathe you can do yoga". Chair yoga is a class which facilitates people with limited mobility, people in wheelchairs and older people who getting up and down from the floor is just too much. This gentle class will include yoga breathing, gentle Yoga poses, meditation and relaxation. We improve our strength and flexibility through our yoga poses and the breath work reduces stress and helps regain some mental clarity. Yoga breath work and meditation are great tools in pain management. Effectively we get all the benefits from a general yoga class, but we can either stay in the chair or use the chair for support”. - Anna
